So is it true that you should run the AC a few times in winter to keep the compressor free and running? Or is this an urban legend thing. On my first 2018 I had the compressor and other bits replaced….it worked fine. Then all winter long I did not run AC at all, soooo the first time I did….I got a brief shudder and that burning compressor clutch smell…..after that it did work but then I always had a high pitch whine when it ran. I wanted it replaced but since it was working…they would not do it. I assume it would die for good at some point….but I traded it.
