ROYAL CRIMSON S550 MUSTANG THREAD

Hi everyone. I'm happy to say I'll be joining the Royal Crimson club soon (2 weeks)! I'm a newbie to detailing but have really read up on it (autogeeks and esoteric car care) because the color is so unique.

My question - is there a particular sealant you guys recommend that really makes RC stand out? I've read about sealants (and waxes) that are geared toward black and darker colors, but I kind of feel like making it brighter/richer is what I want. Either way, I'd love to hear any ideas about specific sealants (since it's my DD) for this color.

FYI, been looking at Wolfgang Deep Gloss 3, Gyone One, Kamikaze so far...

Hated the color in photos. Finally saw one in person today. I probably wouldn't buy in that color (more of a race red guy) but I have to give it a 'nice' props. Looks good in varying light!!!

Car show types are gonna have a nice and unusual color to really help stand out from the crowd.

It's hard to find a photo that shows Royal Crimson as it is in reality. I saw one in the showroom at Fiesta Ford in Palm Desert, California, and was so knocked out by the color I ordered one when I got home to B.C. Tired of dull black interiors, so getting the tan/ebony seats, which is seldom seen. Being built May 7th and should be in Canada by the first week of June.

I've found Cal/Tex ResistAll, Enviro/Guard paint sealant as a simple 2 step Bi-yearly fix for my "ruby red" paint with any wax you desire after applying this sealant is the answer for me.

Got the VIN today for my RC GT Premium. Will be built week of May 7th and EDD to the west coast of Canada is June 7th. Ordered on March 28. My dealer pulled a car already in the system for a May build and inserted mine. Great to have friends who will do this for you.

Finally home so I can upload the pics from today! Overall in person the car looked no better to me. There is just something off about the front end that I cannot get over.

Put the chrome surround in the grille like the Bullitt....BAM!! that would look sweet!!

I shed a tear this day for my DIB '15, however - the '18 is such a smooth car and the color is awesome.....

You should have gotten the dealership to re&re the Howler fender badge and 5.0 swap! :cheers:

A few pics of my base eb rc 2018. Starting from the day I drove her home with just 2.9 miles on her. Paid $20,495 after getting $6,750 in total rebates.
Up until yesterday when I finished working on my diffuser project and turned 1000 smile loaded miles:cheers:

Mods so far;
custom ebay parts sourced catback. Eliminated all the stock mufflers, replaced resonator with 3"in dual 2.5" outlet straight through packed core muffler. pipes painted black to blend in. Think gibson catback.
Cost $285 total sounds great imo very smooth throughout the rev range, no drone yet a nice little growl at idle(its a 4cyl after all. Finished off in 3.5" double walled polished slash cut blue burnt tips.

Tint all around done 4/21, totally custom one of a kind rear diffuser&bumper cost $60 for part&hardware.
Plus nearly 4hrs of labor, most of which was wrestling the stock bumper off:headbonk:
Added premium take off roush pedals $25, premium lighted sills $50. Came with all weather mats so I left those in. Removed clutch spring second day I owned it. Love the feel now:clap2:

Airaid modular intake tube, green performance air filter for induction.
Also have a velossatech ram air scoop to install along with a heavily modified upper gt grille. To match the opened up stock lower grille. Want to ad the pp1 splitter or rtr unit, and maybe Roush side pockets. Or modify my stock units?

Wheels motegi mr133 gold finished in 18x8.5", 25mm et, blue 65mm tuner lugs. Reused stock Goodyear 235/50/18 as tires&factory tpms. Hope to lower it soonest and maybe switch out to 255/45/18 performance tires.
