Route 66 Road Trip

This past Veteran's Day coincided with the 90th Anniversary of the opening of the Mother Road, Route 66. I have driven on the Cajon Pass segment many times but, lately have been considering a trip from California through at least Arizona through scenic Sedona, Meteor Crater, of course the birthplace of the Route - Seligman. It would be cool to do a Mustang run - any interest?

I planning on doing the trip too. I'm thinking sometime in 2018. I'd be driving from Arizona - Chicago. I'd pick up my rental Mustang in Arizona.

That looks like it was a lot of fun! I’ve ridden motorcycles on Route 66 in Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma and would love to traverse the whole thing one day.

Looks like a fun trip-great photos! Did you see the gunfight in Oatman? Go to Shelby American in Las Vegas?

Unfortunately no, due to time constraints bypassed Oatman but, will go see the adoring population of mules there on a future drive. I go to Vegas a lot but have not done Shelby America yet. Hopefully when I attend SEMA in 2022 if things are back to normal.
