Can anyone that purchased a roush blower with their new car verify if insurance changes for supercharged cars or is it still considered a 5.0l according to the vin# ?

It is still just a mustang GT with a V8 (5.0)

If you wreck the car, they also wont take the S/C into the equation either.

They simply will see it as he said. A regular ol' V8.

I work in insurance and it will vary from carrier to carrier. They almost definitely will not include the value of the SC if you total the car without notifying them. Shittier carriers could potentially deny a claim as it is your duty to notify them about any heavy modifications.

Most likely you'd just be out the cost of the blower.

If you notify them they would likely increase the premium but also provide coverage if they deem you acceptable.
