Just got my Phase 2 Roush blower installed on my '18 and I really like it, but there's just very little whine coming from it. I've got one of the Foster sound tubes coming for the interior, but I'd like a little more whine on the outside as well. I read about removing the hood insulation, but don't really want to do that.

Surely somebody out there has installed the Velossa Tech snorkels on a car with the Roush blower - How about it? Did it increase the whine from the outside any where people are more apt to hear it when giving it the pedal?

Have you trued taking the cover off the Roush cold air intake?
They did that on the new GT500 while on the dyno and it gave the car 65HP without a tune. Whines like a bitch too. LOL  :like:

Cool! I'll try it and see if it makes a difference on this one.

I have an 18 with a Roush SC, and a Velossa Tech Big Mouth. There's no difference in sound.

Thanks - that's the info I was lookin' for. By looking at the snorkel, it appeared it might act to possibly amplify any of the "whine" noise coming from the airbox, but it doesn't sound like it. Saves me $150 and a half a day or so of work.

Nope, just allows a little bit better air flow to the intake filter and that's it.
