I’ve gone back and read through some of the threads of people who’ve used both, but wanted to make a new post to see what people thought of whatever option they chose after some time had gone by.
I've had both on my F150, the Ronin being first. I changed to the Femco for one reason: it has locking tabs just like the factory plug. My engineer brain likes redundancy, see.
Which isn't to say I had an issue with the Ronin coming loose, it was still firmly in place after several oil changes and wasn't just finger tight. The Ronin is a work of art (that you don't get to see much) where the Femco isn't any more special than the factory piece.
Either saves the aggravation of Exxon Valdez spills during a change.
Installed the Ronin at first oil change. 4 track days since.
My POV is that putting it in once should never put any repetitive strain on the pan tabs, and is a good thing overall.
