Round trip completed. ~ 25 hours, 1750 miles and 22mpg. Car was a blast. On the way home did a four hour stretch on two lane highways. 526hp Voodoo + wide open roads + little traffic == easiest passing of my life.
Did end up having a brief discussion with a Colorado State Trooper, but thankfully he only saw me cruising and not while coasting down from a passing exercise. Let me off with a written warning (whew). Given that he whipped a u-turn as soon as he saw me cruising by at 73mph, its possible that someone gave them a heads up I was on my way. As tempting as it is to cruse those open back highways at triple digit speeds, glad I wasn't.
Now to spend an evening scraping bugs off my front end. Embark on my 3000 mile long trip in a couple weeks. Car is pretty fun closer to sea level.
