To make a long story short...

I installed my ridetech coilover kit last weekend.. Took it for a few short drives and everything seemed perfect. Go for a Canyon/Mountain drive yesterday and as I'm heading back down the hill I start hearing an awful crunch during braking. Driving home through town it gets worse and worse... But only during slow speed braking/stopping.

At this point I'm sure the strut is toast. I get home lift up the car... triple check everything is tight... I don't see anything and then I feel it. The end link (behind the shock body) which I had on the firmest setting is grinding up against the shock body. So tightly I had to remove the strut just to get the end link out of there.

My fix for now was to go to the less firm setting to gain the needed clearance. I never saw this initially because I had been running the firm setting with my sport lines and never had an issue. And with the car in the air the parts don't necessarily touch.

I don't know if bmr endlinks would help me get clearance to get the firmest or even the middle setting. This is a eibach bar BTW.

Going to test drive tonight but I'm pretty bummed if I can't get that bar back on a firm setting. I prefer the way it handles with more bar in the front.

Adjustable end links? Not sure if this is common in this install/product but it is good to know this is something that needs to be addressed when you do this sort of modification.

Edit: NVM after the pics.:bolt:

I went threw the same thing with steeda bars and ridetech. Only solution is to move the end link to softer position or change out the front springs to higher rate.

We are working on a new 1.5" bar to help alleviate this exact issue. ;)

I run the BMR bar and endlinks with my Ridetechs and don't have this issue.

Uhh..... can't you just flip the end link to the opposite side?

So looking at the picture below, it looks like you could put the endlink on the inside of the swaybar, and be ok.

The stock endlinks joints face opposite ways as you can almost see in his picture here. Adjustable endlinks should allow you to face the joints in the same direction which might work.

You can't flip the EndLinks because it will contact the brake line. I have tried everything.

Not only that, it gets worst when you turn the wheel. I called and spoke to Ridetech and they said well we designed it with the factory bar not aftermarket.

really this is not an issue. Run it at softer position and you will be ok. You are running 425lbs up front correct? If so, that is way too much for street.
