Ah, I didn't answer your first question. There's no indication the Handling Pack will be available outside of the US. I doubt Ford will homologate two versions for the rest of the world, given sales numbers will be relatively small.

I guess my point is, it'll be pretty easy to replicate the Handling Pack though. Add your own wider wheels, front lip and rear spoiler.
I thought the Handling Pack would consist of more than just wheels and spoilers. Also adding an aftermarket spoiler, wheels etc will never work as well than one designed by the manufactuer, as they do all the calcs to ensure the suspension/downforce etc is all setup correctly. Your mate Tony down the road is unlikely to do this.

That's a massive disappointment if we're only getting the Bullitt Mark 2.

I completely agree with the "Your mate Tony down the road" statement. Especially in the UK, there are lots of mechanics/technicians out there that would happily part with your cash for some spanner monkey work but I am yet to find a sophisticated shop that really understands these cars from an engineering stand point, able to articulate that understanding convincigly and perform that sort of upgrade work properly.

I've read in today's US - pricing announcement that the Handling Pack also includes some "unlisted chassis tweaks" which is exactly to your point. I am also disappointed that we will not be getting this pack in the UK. If you read the Mach 1 announcement on Ford UK's website there's no mention of it and that's not by accident. They are very carefully pretending it doesn't even exist... and that's no surprise as wider wheels and additional downforce will have an impact on emissions and fuel economy which means more homologation costs and effort for non-NA markets.

Having said that, it depends on your current car. If say you are coming from a very early 2016 GT (First Edition in fact) like myself, the non-Handling Pack Mach 1 package is still quite a compelling one given that the price won't fly over the 52-53K GBP mark:

In order of importance, I'd say:

1. The 6-speed manual Tremec (this is THE biggest incentive for me, I absolutely loathe the MT-82)
2. Lots of extra cooling for the trans, diff and engine bay.
3. Magnaride suspension, upgraded toe links etc which should hopefully improve high speed stability and enhance steering responsiveness / feel.
4. Hopefully a bit more power even though that's somewhat negated by the additional weight of the 2018+ models. People "running the strip" would probably disagree though.
5 . Badass GT500 active exhaust system
6. Latest Sync 3 (even though I've already upgraded mine from a Sync 2)
7. Another 3 years warranty and hopefully various "announced" niggles sorted compared to the very early 2016-2017 RHD cars of this generation (ask me about my warranty issues!)
8. Additional safety features (adaptive cruise control, collision warning etc stuff that are standard on most new cars these days)
9. Digital dash (I think it's a gimmick but I guess it's cool for about 15 minutes)
10. Heated steering (I wouldn't mind one over the winter as I do drive it all year round!)

On the aesthetics department I'd say:
1. Improved front facia compared to the 2018+ models (Bullitt was actually OK) which always reminded me of a "moody fish" somehow (non-facelist is still the best looking IMO but aerodynamically "challenged" tbh)
2. The Fighter Jet Grey is a lovely colour (even though the Ruby Red is still the best on the S550 IMO)

If you are coming from a 2018+ model the list is obviously a lot shorter!

No, not "Tony down the road".........but we do have specialists that understand the Mustang and have great reputations.

That being said, the Mach 1 is, even in base form, a superb car and a fitting way to send off S550.

I have not heard the US counterparts live but mine with H-pipe compared to Bullitt sounded much better in my opionon(of-course the res-delete can be done on the Bullitt as well). The Bullitt was quite tame. Mine with the Borla Atak was nice, but still to muffled in my opinion. From the videos I have heard on the US cars the Borla is much louder than mine was, with that said I never heard my own car from the outside on full throttle :(
But to be fair aftermarket exhausts from the US are insane and can't fulfill the EU laws to be legal. Of course some people don't care, btu here in Germany every big city now has special police units to decomission tuned cars that are too loud. So here it's pretty important what the carmaker can deliver from the factory and how much decibel they have in the papers. Bullitt was pretty fine for that. The normal GT with active exhuast could be louder imho.
Had the chance to ride passenger in a GT500 a few weeks ago, track mode for exhaust is mindblowing. Pretty much like a racecar

Yeah sitting inside the car and being next to in on full throttle is a huge difference. When I'm driving my Camaro I sometimes think the exhaust could be a little louder, but that idea is intantly scrapped when I can drive behind another camaro at a car meet :cwl:

On terms of missed Handling Package: It will totally break down to the aero parts and the wider Cup 2 tires. If you upgrade to these you should get similiar performance to the Handling package. Even though when adding Cup 2 you don't want to drive the car on rainy days.
Here in Germany the problem is that you can't just add Ford US parts of the Handling package. The wheels and aero parts have to be approved with the correct paperwork, otherwise you car is losing it's road permission. So if Ford is not offering the HP from the factory, the only way to legally have one is to import one from North America, but the taxes and customs easily drive the price up to 80+k€ then

And by which time you may as well import the GT350 with it's flat plane crank.
I really don't understand the point of the Mach 1 if we're not getting the handling pack - it has 450bhp like a Bullitt and looks like one except for a different colour scheme.
I wonder if Australia is getting the handling pack as not constrained by EU regs, if so it begs the question why don't they make a RHD handling pack verison which they I'm sure they could make a business case for.

Ok, I guess with Ford treating the UK as an EU country there was not a business case for a RHD Handling Pack verison.

-Solid rear swaybar but the same diameter -> Don't really get the point with that
- Front splitter
- Rear spoiler
- Wheels and tires

All these these option you will be able to get, but

the EPAS and ESC do have a an additional tuning apparently so that will be very difficult to get the same

There are some rather big changes comparing the two cars(base Mach1 and Bullitt) which will be quite noticable specially if you drive the car (as in track it or very hard on the street) if going and getting ice cream with the elbow out the window is the type of driving that is preferred then yes the Mach 1 is not the best choice

I'll have 1st world problem if the prices in Sweden will be "acceptable" I really do like my MX-5 both on the street and on the track. But a V8 is a V8 and one that carn turn as well...

Heard the first pricing rumors of the Mach 1 in Germany:
Base price will be around 67k€
With options it will go up to 73k€
As a comparison, our GT starts at 47k€ which makes the Mach 1 about 20k€ more expensive than a GT. Pretty insane for not even having the handling package.

HAHAHA what a pre 1st of April Joke if that is true. 74K? What options would add up to that. The only option would be appearance package mor or less everything is standard

Oh, wow that would be crazy... The Bullitt was around 52k EUR. 15k EUR on top of the Bullitt would be a lot...
Are your rumours from a credible source?

I now got the officiall pricing for Germany, so the guy told me some bs. But I saw the 73k€ as a listed Mach 1 at a dealer, guess it's just an insane markup.

Base price with 6MT not known yet
Base price with 10AT: 63.800€
Price for Fighter Jet Gray (incl. orange wrap) and Velocity Blue (incl white wrap) +1.200€
All other colors are included, but Lucid Red seems not an option for Europe (maybe missing in my version?)
Styling package (includes Fighter Jet Gray, orange interior decorations) +1.500
The nice 5Y wheels: + 1.250€
Price for Recaros is not known yet (or missing in my list)

So Mach 1 is still pretty expansive compared to GT (about 47k + options) and Bullitt (52k€). But at least its our only chance to get a Mustang who can do corners here
