I had a friend who mis-shifted the same way about 10 years ago in his LS1 TA. The car drove perfectly afterwards until a week later the bottom end just took a dump enexpectedly. Good luck.
Same thing with my buddy's 98gt. Was fine for a few hundred miles then it shatted and oiled a street down real good

Right because the rev limiter is there well before any of that could happen.

I swear that no thought at all goes in to your posts its just type type type.
Maybe you are just not knowledge enough to understand more complex things like how a rev limiter works lol.
Or any of my posts really.

So one guy with a manual is letting some strange shift for him and reving to 8000 and one guy is lazy and driving around in 6th at 30 mph at 800 rpm. (Yes on level ground so that is fine)
Boy it really offends you that I use 6th gear around town doesn't it.

Too much worrying around here about small things, like revving the engine before it warms up, or not changing the oil after 1k miles, etc. It's fine.

I had a buddy who jammed his 95 GT into reverse at 70mph. REVERSE...

Not the smartest guy. Also had a wheel fall off in a parking lot, so he bought a torque wrench because I guess it was gonna magically make the lug nuts not stripped. Plus, it was an INCH POUND torque wrench..lol. He also put hood pins on his 87 LX for no reason at all, which I actually see quite a bit. Why someone with a 200hp car wants to drill into their factory hood I'll never understand.

The whole mental picture of the OP trying to be suave and manly, asking her to shift for him, and then revving the engine to 8Gs, is just hysterical.

Jesus, the power women have over young men is hilarious.

Don't worry OP, we all remember doing stupid crap trying to impress the lasses. But if your age no longer has "teen" in it, it's time to chill out a bit.
