I did some testing with the built in G force meter on my '18 pp1 on a local corner near me trying to break my prior record of 1.11g on my 2009 cts-v with stickier tires. Bone stock in the mustang I couldnt get above 1.00 G on the same corner with about 20 attempts. I then got Bridgestone Potenza s007 315/35/20's on 20x10 pp1 replica rears on the back but kept the stock front 255's wheels on with 5mm spacers(because the 275's wouldn't fit with 5mm spacers), understeer was increased, rear never even squealed but I couldn't break prior record because the front grip was the problem. I then added 1 inch wheel adapters to the front, this actually did have a noticeable positive affect in cornering and I got 1.03G with the 255's on 1 inch spacers after about 5 attempts. Then I put the OEM 275/40/19 pp1 rears on the front with the spacers and they fit fine. 2nd attempt with this setup and I got 1.09G. Pretty sure with stickier tires on the front this thing could pretty easily do 1.15g . Probably added a decent amount of rotating mass though with the wider rear wheels, wider and taller rear tires, wider front wheels and wider front tires, and also the adapters weighed like 2 lbs each. The braking and cornering is significantly better but I dont know how much this extra weight hurts straight line performance yet.

pp1 rear wheels on the front need at least 1 inch adapters for good clearance, 5mm did not fit. Since both the fronts and rears are taller than stock, they fill the wheel wells out really nice. I dont know if this setup would fit if the car was lowered.

Interesting. I was wondering if putting the tires further out had a positive benefit, seems like it might be enough to offset the weight penalty. Thanks for the info

Here is the differences between the pp1 fronts (left) and pp1 rears (right side). You can see the grooves are thicker on the 255, that may be better for resisting hydroplaning. The 255 also has more tread despite having 3000 more miles driven on it because the 275 was on the back of my car for about 5k miles spinning alot lol. The thinner grooves and wider 275 has more contact patch and that did help significantly in cornering.

PP2 wheels and tires still make mine look small, atleast the fronts lol. 305's on 10.5 wide fronts 11's rear

I wonder what that could pull on this corner
