If someone wouldn't mind sending me a data log file from your car with a Paxton 2200sl and a Lund tune it would be greatly appreciated.

I am just looking to compare what my car is doing. Really just wanting to compare MAf lb per min.

Oh, generally tuners don't like users openly exchanging datalogs as it can show characteristics of the vehicle. What MAF LB PER MIN do you see? I can chart mine for you.

Currently I am kind of in a holding pattern. I let Greg at Lund know I won't be able to finalize my tune as the weather won't permit me to make wide open runs. My last run was WOT to about 5500 rpm and saw a 48.87, was just curious what others where seeing around this RPM.

I see 60-62lbs at 5500 and 84-86lbs at 7200

Why wouldn't they share a data log?

Again, not sharing is ONLY present in the Ford World.

Tunes are very open source in the GM world.

However MAF lbs per min, is a great way of determining how well the car is ingesting air. :)

Thanks. Read it, still clear as mud. I understand the difference between speed density and MAF. If my memory serves me right, the first fox body cars used speed density for a few years. The great thing about all of this stuff, I don't need to know how it works as long as it does. I'll leave that to the master minds.

I was asked to not share mine and I respect that from my tuner :ninja:

Lots of companies still use SD.

Ford (The brand new stuff)
Honda (for years and years)
MB (for years on the F/I stuff)
Dodge

And many others. ;)

They are both very easy to tune, however takes a little more engineering to make a MAF car have a smooth stable signal, and a good tuner to not "hack" the transfer curve up. (Well some people hack the heck out of VE tables as well) And don't get me started on Virtual VE tables. :)

Thankfully tuning the new Ford with ProChargers on the new speed density systems was very very very easy, and make killlllller power numbers. :)

F-150 and V6 Mustangs.
