I'm running 2019 GT350 5.2 Whipple and currently have 3800 miles without any issues. I will avrage about 10k miles a year. This is a daily driver and probably run it a little hard. I'm just curious if anyone is having any reliability issues.

Idk, let us know how it turns out. I'd love to have a whipple on it and I bet it's a glorious drive each time. Side note, can anyone not figure out how to get the strut bar on top to be reused?

Every whipple 350 car I see ends up blown. Common consensus from everyone I've spoken to is that there is too much power pushed down low and the bottom end of the voodoo isn't strong enough to take it for long. in all fairness, its prob the driver operation as well.

Edit to add: you have a 2019 with with new pistons/rings (started in MY18) and some block revisions so you're prob ok.

Not that I've been looking, but I haven't heard of any.

I have seen someone just use spacers/washers to raise the strut bar slightly and it just cleared the whipple and hood. May have been on this forum.

I saw this too but also saw reports of it hitting of it hitting the bar under load/turning.

Same. And Whipples seem to end up on top of Voodoo's a lot comparatively to other PD blowers and FI in general.
I see them blown on IG constantly. also have seen several at local shops.

Got any accounts you can point to? Because I'm curious. And Whipples are probably (not that this is a criticism) the softest hitters down low of the PD lineup because of the twin screw. But shine up top.

Speaking of, Brenspeed just laid down 1000 big ones with a Whipple and a '16 car. To be fair though I fully believe this particular car is absolutely on borrowed time. That's a lot of nut on a stock motor. But hey, they did it.

I know a guy who whippled his 3100 mile 17 R. Was going to go for a ride but he could never get it dialed in with the tune. Sold it shortly afterward. I dunno if he returned to stock.

I don't because I wasn't tracking it; just an observation that everyone I've seen blown has a whipple on it. Also I'm not sure I agree with this statement completely. Although they could be "soft hitters down low", any hit down low appears to be bad on this engine. PC and others hit with engine load and apply boost very slowly (I dont even get my last 3 psi until the last 1500 rpm to redline..). Even Lund is now advising tuners to only hit boost post 3500 rpm on these engines. -and thats very easy to manage with a centrifugal setup.

I have read the same. People are using washers to space the brace to clear the whipple and still have the hood close.

This in my mind totally defeats the purpose of having the brace in the first place. You're putting leverage on the bracing points...whatevs I guess.
