It sounds like that is the intended design. I would imagine it fits over the microphone, which you'd only be able to put the wind screen on if the skeleton case exposed the holes for the microphone. I don't think this item would help much over the waterproof case as the wind hits the case itself, not the microphone, and the wind noise you get is from wind hitting the case itself...a windscreen wouldn't help, unless it maybe covered the entire case??So I would need a skeleton case and then attach this to it?
