... just took it apart and realized what this meant. The piston has a slot in it and when you rotate it to turn it (and compress it) you need to line up this slot with a pin in the inboard brake pad. This pin slides into the slot in the piston. When you take it apart it becomes obvious. Thx for listening.... ;)

Yup you got it. At least you didn’t try to compress the piston with a screw clamp like I did the first time. Just turn it and make sure it aligns with the pins in the pad. A few or 5 hard pulls on the ebrake before you drive off too.
