Rear mud flaps/splash Gaurds

Question about mud flaps for those of you who have fitted them or come across them.

Do you think it would be possible to fit them to the 'front' of the rear wheel arches?

I am not sure I would actually do it as it may not look right but I want to protect my RTR side skirts from getting dirty and stone chipped and looking at various methods.

Dam it, spelling mistake in title and I cant edit it!!

Haven't the rear wheels got little lips underneath the current side skirts, just looking of a picture of mine... won't protect them if they flick out of the arches...

Also think the splash guards are bolted onto OEM bolts, not sure there's any on 'that side' of the wheel arch - haven't really looked to be honest!

Why not just apply protective film to the leading edge of the skirts?

Yeh, I dont know if it will look right or not.

Its not just about stone chips, its road dirt as well
