I'm considering a differential gear change to 4.56 from the stock 3.73.
As most of us know, the '18+ M6 D4 has different ratios than the '15-'17 M6 D4.
'19+ M6 D4 incorporates Auto Rev Match (ARM).
I owned a '16 M6 and the difference in the D4 gearing between '15-17 and '18-'22 is rather noticeable.
I have scoured this forum and discovered I can swap gears and likely won't need a "tune", since others have done this successfully.
However, their cars did not have Auto Rev Match (ARM).
My question is:
"Will I need to tune for the new gear ratio in order to maintain ARM functionality, or will the computer(s) involved self-adjust?"
Thanks for your insight.
