Checking if anyone has seen this issue on a 2017 GT350R. Car is stock with 3K miles. Appears rear pads or retaining brackets(?) are grinding into the barrel of the wheel about 1/16th of an inch so far. Cannot see anything in contact with the wheel. Dropped the car off at local dealer today, but interested if anyone has seen this and if so, what was the cause.

I've seen a rock get in between and do that to the wheels... Fronts mainly because the gap is so small.

I have a rear wheel on my 17R that has that, but not as bad. Suspect a rock despite more clearance between the caliper and wheel. I’m not worried about it as is, but this is why I bought the 5yr wheel and tire package!

I have something like that on my track pack car. I think a rock got bounced around in between there during a track day. I wouldn't sweat it too much but nothing wrong with making sure there isn't something going on.

Yes, happened to me also ... front left. Rock got stuck and due to the caliper design it has a little space between pads to get stuck... I removed the wheel and found it there still.

How would a rock between the pad and rotor cause this. That is a worn groove on the wheel, not the rotor is it not? There should be nothing sticking that far off of the caliper or rotor to touch the wheel, especially not a jammed rock. Maybe. Just not understanding the pic.

the rock actually gets stuck between the caliper and the barrel and causes this. its a known issue due to the low clearance between the cf rims and the caliper. usually happens up front...

@BEK405 this happened to me as well in the rear. its why i only run my cf rims in the dead of summer when Ill benefit most from them. Otherwise I run @50deep signature wheels.

Been there on my R, right rear grooved because of pebble stuck between rim/ caliper. Caliper had witness mark on it from where rock vibrated as it was ground down small enough to flick out.

Ford examined images, said it was fine. Just looks like ass.
