G'Day guys,

What do you make of the different positions of the rear brake callipers shown in these two photos;

Calliper behind the axle as seen in almost all photos of the car.

The calliper here is in front of the axle.

Early prototype I guess.

Either way, can't wait for these cars to come down under!

There was a suggestion that the silver S550 had photoshopped wheels. No idea why they'd do that, but makes sense as I think its the only time we've seen the caliper on the rear.

The second photo was likely digitally edited.

Ahhh... that makes sense. Never occurred to me that the photo wasn't real. Naive me!

Someone's photoshopped the left wheel on to the right side of the car, but as you say, why bother?

I'm guessing because they never actually had this car out driving in the desert at the time. Those pics were taken early on (even before the reveal I believe) and I doubt they risked it given how much convincing they needed just to have a closely guarded S550 filmed for a major motion picture (according to Pericak).

Here is the original. They most likely photoshopped the wheels because the black wheels don't show up well in photos. You'll also notice that the front caliper on the 'shopped wheels is a floating caliper which is not available on 5.0 cars.
