I think it depends on what you are used to driving. We have terrible roads in CT too, but this car is much more comfortable than my C7/Z51/Magride, Focus RS (the dampening in this car was terrible), or STI. I think the suspension and heaviness play a big role, but even the gearbox is really easy to use in traffic. Tires are a big part of it though and you can always find a less aggressive tire for the streets that will reduce tramlining, and have a smoother ride.
Well my DD was a LS430 so yes you are right. For a performance car the GT350 rides wonderfully.

Yeah I am sure the LS420 is like flying first class vs coach next to the bathroom :)

My alternate vehicle is a 2019 Jeep Wrangler with modified suspension (lift, 34" tires all terrain tires, etc). It can go over and through anything but there is no luxury in doing it :)

I think I know what is going to happen now that we have a H2H w/ the GT3 RS with same day same driver, and the GT500 CFTP nearly pulled off the upset. At the 2019 C&D Lightning lap, the GT3 RS went 2:41.6, and the ZLE A10 went 2:45, those are mostly same day mostly same drivers (they take the best time from the bunch). Assuming the GT3 RS is barely quicker than the GT500 CFTP, that would put the Shelby at about 2:41.9, but that doesn't factor in the differences in track type, so that's just an educated guess. If that close call with the GT3 RS holds true on other tracks, the GT500 CFTP will be quicker than the ZLE. Also, the GT3 RS lapped the Nurburgring in 6:56. IIRC, the ZLE lapped at 7:16. Could the GT500 CFTP be a sub-7 min car at the N'ring? I guess it's possible based on the time vs. the GT3 RS. Hopefully we'll see one day.
With the HP advantage and the length of some of the straights, I would think it would match or exceed the RS.

You'd think. The GT3 RS is a very quick car in a straight line, too. The GT3 RS runs the 1/4 mile in 11.0 at 129 mph. That's a faster e.t., and only about 3 mph slower trap speed, than the GT500 CFTP. The extra hp is somewhat negated by the extra 800 lbs in the GT500.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
There is a bone stock run at 10.6 on here at 130 something for the GT500. Quite incredible. Not sure I enjoyed any of the video footage of either car. It was pretty much a lot of tail hanging out power on shots and hard to see how they really carve at all. Maybe just dramatized footage or just me.
