I'm an Alumni (twice over) and I went back to the Student's Union at the Uni where I did my Masters Degree. I asked for a Cider and Black and was told I wasn't allowed to call it that anymore. I had to say "Cider and B" because saying "Black" was racist, despite it being short for "Blackcurrant".

I don't think I've been so taken aback in my entire life.

For example. Went out for a meal at the weekend and I let the wife drive (although not the Mustang) pay and she even held the door of the restaurant open as I went through. And when we got home, I let her put the bins out for refuse collection on Monday.

How modern am i?
