I agree! had to be something major. Unfortunately for Ford, this doesn't paint a clearer picture for the future of the automaker."instances"
You don't fire someone that high up on a random Wednesday without a replacement named at the same time for something small. He probably got hammered at a conference and stripped naked and slapped a girl's ass.
Yeah, Hackett isn't exactly giving anyone the warm and fuzzy feeling about the future of Ford either. Raj, while pushing questionable things like the RS through with it's massive recall instead of delaying, at least had the Performance team in mind.I agree have to be something major. First Fields then Nair. Most definitely a blurry future No Doubt. Maybe that's why the GT500 was pushed back for 2020 and maybe there won't be a GT500 with how crazy things are at Ford right now. Who knows. This is crappy timing for Ford.Yeah, Hackett isn't exactly giving anyone the warm and fuzzy feeling about the future of Ford either. I'm a bit worried that someone like him won't be called upon as a replacement. Not good.
I think the change from Fields to Hackett hasn't affected the active performance programs too much, but has canceled upcoming programs like the S650 program and possibly future GT500 style variants.First Fields then Nair. They have put way too much money and time into the GT500 plus its announcement to cancel it now. S650 versions, more than likely axedFirst Fields then Nair. Most definitely a blurry future No Doubt. However I think Ford and Ford Performance has peaked in the 2013-2017 calendar years and we begin the slide back down. I don't think it will be as bad as the late 70s and early 80s but it won't be pretty
He was on the GT video. Also on Barrett/Jackson in January with their fundraising auction. Is that the Ford rep thats in the JayLeno gt350/gt500 vids?
