I like to disassemble things.
I got back from tracking the car last week. I brought a small cordless with the appropriate bit and removed the tray at the track in a minute or so. Had a great time there and at the end of the day screwed the tray back into place. It's pretty darn easy (but I do understand why somebody with a smaller frame might encounter more of a challenge) to uninstall/reinstall with the stock fasteners.

Haven’t had my rain tray installed for about a year now. I drive in light to heavy rains and very little water enters the engine bay. In fact I get more water in there from opening the hood during a rain than from driving or parked in it. I don’t even use a towel when I wash the car and I have zero water spots in there.
To be fair I do have the Python vent so I don’t know if it makes a difference but I have zero concerns with water intrusion.

Take the under hood blanket off. The rain tray makes almost no difference. Especially if you’re not running boost. and if you are running boost if it takes too much water great way to cease up the blower.

There is no under hood blanket. And exactly how is the water going to get in the blower?

I don’t own a GT500. I own a bloated GT.
