Drilled my cover, I have the ZL1 hook, and to smoothly take the piece on and off it seemed the hole would need to be a little larger as to avoid pitting my PPF on the bumper surround during insertion and removal of the cover.

I used the step drill bit and just kept opening it as needed .

It's ready to go and in the mail to Tom shortly.

Never mind the dirty car, did a track day this past weekend and haven't had the opportunity to clean her up right yet.

I like to disassemble things.
I edited the intial post to reflect the fact that the tug shaft I ordered was wrong - the Focus RS shaft uses an RD16 rounded thread whereas the GT500 uses an RD18 rounded thread. If you have what I ordered I would contact Raceseng about it. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

Hmmm...not speaking your language, Tob, I don't know if I got the wrong one. It goes in, a bit wobbly at first but tightens up. Can I measure something? Pretty sure I ordered the same thing though.

That's the way my ZL1 Addons Tow Hook works. I think it's just the thread on these. It's pretty loose until right before it tightens up and then it's tight.

No, not crying wolf here. This is what I was saying, the RD thread can be tricky. It should be RD18 and not RD16.

Jayrd was happy enough to issue an RMA for an exchange for the correct shaft. These guys are a class act. Thanks Raceseng!

Well, the good news is that I haven't drilled your hole yet on the door. With the correct thread pitch, the chances are that the door hole will be correct.

I will be happy with however it come out Tom, but if it makes it easier to dial in, then it's a win.
