First off, really appreciate the great info from other members on track tire options / comparisons outside of the Michelin Sport Cup 2s. I'm going down the Goodyear Supercar 3R path for the spare rims and will give them a try. Others had great feedback on this tire, and it's a little cheaper than the Cup 2s. I will likely get a new set of Cup 2s for the OEM CF rims.

Being that the Goodyear 3Rs do not come in 315/19 but a 325/19 (very minor difference in overall diameter), curious to hear from other R owners wo are running 325s on the rear 11.5in wide rims. Did you experience much bulge from the wheel well / fender? Did you notice anything adverse in drivability and handling with the 325 tire? Anyone have pics of their 350R with 325 rear tires?

Thanks.

I had the PS4 325 on my Signature Wheels in R Spec, fit great. It also depends on the tire not all 325s are identical size.

thanks. Completely understand not all 325s are the same. In fact, another member sent me a great photo showing the Goodyear 3rs at 305 are actually wider than the Sport Cup 2s at 315. Still tryin to figure that one out.

most websites do not list the actual width in inches or mm of the tire.

Does 325s work on non-R? Mine is a non-R and came with 325s in rear and 305s in front on project 6s. I think the rear sticks out a bit..

325s will work on R or non R as long as you aren't running some crazy offset.

I ran the same setup on my 16 track pack. No issues.

I run 325/30/R19 Michelin PS4s on the rear of my Vibe Motorsports R Spec wheels. The 325 Michelins do run wide and poke a tad but never any issues with fender contact.

I have another answer that’s almost what you asked for but not quite. The attached picture is a GT350R on the right with the R-spec Cup2s (315/30/19) mounted on the factory carbon wheels (19”x11.5”). The car on the left is a ZLE with SC3Rs in 325/30/19 on a factory 19”x12” wheel. The sidewall to sidewall measurement for the SC3R is just over 13”, and the sidewall to sidewall measurement on the Cup2 is just over 12 1/4”. Mounting the SC3Rs on a 11.5” wide wheel will probably bring the total width in just slightly, but I’m guessing you should plan on the total extra width being that full 3/4 inch. I know I would not feel comfortable running that tire on my R and based on looking at my R you will have some tire bulge from the rear quarter panel, but would be very interested to know how it ends up for you.

@passwords Great pick. I didn't know that Camaro had a 12" wheel on the back. My plan was to run the SC3(non R) as my next tire. But like soooo many others, we go 325 since no one makes a 315 in anything. I like more of a stretched side wall and was the main reason I went with the 325 Conti as they run small. That 325 4S is just toooo dang wide and square for my taste. And meh, the Conti's a better looking tire overall anyways! So is that SC3.

I think the 325 SCRs will be great. Yes, may have some minor bulge, but I am not worried about it.

The tires have been ordered and will be installed on the spare Project 6GR FIVE rims next week - hopefully.

325 aspect Michelin pilot sport 4S on a Forgeline GT350R stock wheel size and offset. Drives great, a little squishy compared to stock carbon wheel with sport cup 2, but fine for street application.
