Quirk ford or any of their other brands, is a dealer I skip ,
Just look at the web site, the ad price is with every rebate avail. no matter if you can use it or not. Something almost no one can do. so that get you in the door is bait and switch.
They seem to sell a ton of vehicles, by getting the customers to say they are looking at x vehicle , and asking what payment you looking to be at, and customers only caring about the monthly payment number, not that they are locked into a 84 month loan at 5.9% . iirc jannel ford in hanover had 2 converts a few weeks ago on the lot. Imerial in mendon had a few.
not sure what they had for options as I was not looking at drop tops. Herb chambers also had a few. Rodman in foxboro had a race rece gt convert. might be worth a look.

Just a quick update. I placed a deposit down on a mustang through the dealership in Iowa! The build date is likely going to be mid September. I’ll be sure to post pictures if I decide to fly out to Iowa and drive it back to Boston, MA or just have the convertible shipped to Boston.

Just phone up Grainger ford in Iowa. 9pct off every day.

And call 20 more dealers 20 miles outside of metro and I think you'll find a few with their head on straight.

I wish I would of called them when I ordered and had the vehicle shipped to me. I paid MSRP with the available incentives from Ford, but 9% with incentives would of been fantastic.

Grainger Ford as mentioned or since you are in MA, look at Koons Ford of Baltimore. Email the sales manager.. he is extremely aggressive in pricing as well and will always take X plan. But his pricing is below Xplan and they only charge a $300 doc fee because of Maryland law. It's a quick flight down to Baltimore and drive it home same day.


Edited - After looking at Koons, it seems they are not doing much off MSRP as well. What a difference because of this damn chip shortage. They were by far the cheapest a year ago in the area.

LOL @ Koons Ford... I called them about a Mach 1 that was a custom order on their lot. And it has been sitting for a few weeks. They have it for $15,000 above MSRP. I told them I would buy it today for MSRP and they declined. They have been calling me every other day since asking if I was still interested, I said yes, at MSRP. Each time they hang up.

Only an idiot would pay $15,000 above sticker for a Mach1. The very moment you drive it off the lot you would lose at least $20,000

Hey all,

I was hoping to custom order a new mustang convertible from a ford dealer, Quirk Ford in Quincy Massachusetts. Even though I had the X-Plan code (courtesy of MCOA), the salesperson said there are no incentives and that includes the X-Plan. And that I won't be able to find another dealer that will honor the X-Plan rate at this time. Is that correct? I told the salesperson that I will do my own due diligence on the matter and ended up leaving.

I don't mind not receiving other incentives, but I was hoping to purchase my first mustang with the X-Plan rate.

Any insight or guidance on whether all ford dealers have stopped accepting orders with X-Plans?

I have the cash upfront to purchase a car outright, but I am open to doing a 0% (or 2% at the max) financing for 36 months to play ball and pay it off shortly.

Normal depreciation isn't happening in the market right now. My friends are selling 2 year old trucks for more than they paid for them new. 10 year old Camrys are going for 10-15k or over 50% of what they cost new.

This is one of the only times in my life where it almost makes sense to buy new, especially with a desirable vehicle like the Mustang. If I was to sell my Miata, I could get what I essentially paid for it back in 2018 except with 24,000 more miles on the clock. I would've done it, except the Miata is my only car and I don't want to lose out on driving during the summer months. Even if I lose a few thousand dollars, the enjoyment I get with driving while I wait for the mustang to be built and shipped is worth it to me. Strange days indeed.

Not sure where the 9% came from. Granger is 4% on any Mustang up to a GT Premium. 2% on Mach 1. MSRP on the GT500. Zack has posted such several times in his pricing thread.

Dealers are not required to accept Ford plan pricing. I have a car on order and my dealer got the same model. I inquired about buying that particular one with Z-Plan and they said no.

for all those that have followed the thread, I wanted to share a few picture updates of the car. It's a long long story, but after waiting like 3 months for a shipper that wasn't coming out my way, I found another enclosed shipper that was 5 stars. If anyone is ever needing a solid shipper, I can connect you with the company; I had the car shipped within a few days' time. (nothing in the public sector can be beaten)

Also, I'd watch out using u-ship. The reviews I found online that I read for a shipper that I was almost about to go with had literally made me sick to my stomach. (meanwhile, they are rated at 94% on uship o_0)

In any case, here is the car to this day. I have put about 900 miles on it so far and it's been an absolute dream of mine to finally own a GT. (and I haven't even tried giving it full throttle yet). I'm actually a little scared!

Its a GT with a manual, active exhaust, midnight blue leather interior and BO sound system. I had Granger Motors install all of the parts below. It rides so smooth. I can't ever go back to a miata (and definitely not a miata with coil overs!)

If anyone ever wants to replicate it, I created a cheat sheet that has everything I ordered along with a link to the instructions manual for each part!
