100 mile initial impressions, don't laugh.

-need new tires. 305 nitto g2's are not going to cut it. not talking about launching or going to the track. just daily driving.

-drivability is insane. can't believe how smooth and linear the power is. very deceiving. several times I thought I let off at 65 was actually doing 80 or 85. love the low end torque on this thing.

-idle is very smooth. also driving around the parking lot or drive through in 1st or 2nd is super easy. in the 90s this would not be possible with 700+ hp.

-heat never seemed to be a problem. I didn't think it would be on the street though. ac stayed cold the whole time even after the mini pulls and sitting in traffic and whatnot. this in super humid Florida btw. the cooling fan trick is pretty cool that works well

-the gearing of the 6 speed and 3.55s is perfect for this. I like to have longer gears with big power.

-overall very impressed with this package. imo its the perfect combination of comfort, performance, daily fun, and cost. this will be my daily driver for the next few years.

Nice ride! Keep your G2’s for the front but get a set of Nitto 555RII Drag Radials in 305/35/20 on the rear and you’ll be happy. Very good daily driver drag radial that handles well, sticks really good, wears quite well and is not a death trap in the rain.

Im running those in 275/35/20 on my 19 RS3 on the 9.5 inch Roush wheels and they work well. I ran 305/35/20 on this car on a different set of wheels last year with Nitto 555R’s and don’t notice any difference between the sizes. Granted the 305’s were the older style 555R but I still don’t think there will be much of a difference and if so it’s probably negligible.

I think the construction and tread compound of the 555ii is more important than the width. I run 305s but they are vastly superior to other 305s that I have used.

I found the r2 considerably better for traction than the older r. I run them in 315, the r were only avail in 305 in the size I needed though.

To the poster that referenced the G2, those are fine for the front but can't even handle decent NA power in the rears so those should be your first change.

Agree 100 percent.

Day 39 no end in sight.
Tindol has put 83 miles on my car and managed to use 3/4 tank of gas doing it. My son actually spotted my car on the highway while he was out driving yesterday.

Latest word:
"Tech has sent over info to Roush for the knock sensors, we did add fresh 93 octane. Waiting on them. Last we heard they had several engineers working on your case"

Phone call to Roush:
yeah actually my next thing to do was to call the tech. I wanted to eliminate fuel as a cause. We have 6 engineers looking at your case.

So I contacted Elder Ford in Tampa this am for a price on a Roush supercharger install for my 2021 GT..to say I was sticker shocked is an understatement. They want $11,900...asked if any discounts, nope. How does Granger do this for $3k less?
Anyone have this done in Southwest Florida?

I had Elder do the install on my 2015.... I had multiple problems (tune related).... They were not that great to work with.

Man oh man it seems a lot of these Roush authorized dealers are only good to sell the car and are a major disappointment on the service side. You would think Roush would require the dealership to have a certified Roush tech?
