Mine was installed like that at the factory! The car was burning oil from day one. I ordered mine through Ford and it was built last June. I picked it up with 2.5 miles on it. I had an issue with intermittent blue smoke from exhaust. I added 4 quarts of oil in the first 2500 miles.

Yes Ford is putting in a new long block. They have had the car since October. I talked to them yesterday and they ordered the engine.

I'm not in a rush to get it back and they know that it gets stored for winter anyway. In my garage or theirs I didn't really care. It was a slow process for them to finally get the motor out and find the problem. I'm not sure how the lemon law would apply but they are putting a new long block in so I'm good with that. I am not really educated on the lemon law.

Yeah im glad I don't have to pay for it. I wouldn't have been driving it during this time anyway so I don't feel like I lost out. It would have been worse if it was down all summer this year. Thanks!
