I'm gonna have to turn off advancetrac and try and spin the wheels.
2nd gear hit in a 10spd with my drag radials and TC off will make the rear end drift a little before they hook up. With my MP4's on I could do the same thing at 80mph on the freeway.

We are going to have you cross over to the dark side of tires 🙂

If you are driving it like I did for the first month, I spent more time getting used to the power and learning the cars behavior. I can remember the first time I dropped the hammer and ran it all out, I was like holy crap.

You remember how your Z06 came on smooth when you hammered it, even though it was fast? I find that if I hammer this car and with traction control off, I have to be on my A game because it seems like that boost curve keeps going up and up.

I'm gonna have to turn off advancetrac and try and spin the wheels.

I freaked out today after getting my car back. All these failure lights came on the dash. I ran back inside and told them. They laughed and said give it 30 seconds. Sure enough 30 seconds later they were gone.

Just wait until the collision avoidance ones light up and his the brakes for you. That an eye opener. I didn't expect it to that in a manual.

Mine doesn't hit the brakes, just sounds like a siren going off... My eye opener was when I tried to change lanes with all the nannies on and it tried to keep me in my lane.. Promptly turned it all off...

If I'm going to pay out for insurance, it's going to be my fault :p

How do I test the collision avoidance? How do I enable it?

Do you have the safe and smart package?
Yup. Shure do.
I figured out how to activate the lane thingy. And it shows a vehicle ahead of me. But I never hear any kind of warning. And the car never brakes independently.

Mine has the cross traffic alert where if a car turns in front of you (sometimes when it doesn't fricken matter), it will flash up a warning and beep to no end. May have to go into the settings and turn it on..

I have never been able to make the collision alert come on deliberately. It comes on when it wants.

If a car or even a pedestrian is in front of you and the system thinks you are approaching too fast without braking, it will activate the "pre-collision assist." I have had it happen. It is difficult to test it but it works.

I do not like the lane keeping system. I turned that off. Adaptive cruise is great, though. So is BLIS and cross traffic alert.

The computer uses so an amount of the last driven miles to estimate distance to empty. It helps to also reset the trip for a better estimate.

When it happens-you will know for sure. It definitely gets your attention.
