To be clear, I don’t think Brenspeed is intentionally posting exaggerated numbers. I’ve seen errors in the timing systems do exactly that. Sometimes, the front wheels don’t trip the first timing light on the big end, and so on.

Low DA and a stiff tail wind could have helped some, too.

Headers, cal, fuel, and conditions would help 1/8th mph as well. The problem isn’t that it was fast for the mods; the problem is that the 1/4 and 1/8th speeds don’t go together. Not impossible, just not likely.

I haven't but wouldn't Redline Water Wetter be a similar product? I'm using Water Wetter in my intercooler system, in the Whipple.
Ive used the VP racing brand no difference seen.

Well.. I got to the strip and I finally have a 10 second slip. Dom from Fast and Furious would give me shit that he wanted a "10 second car, not a 10.9 car" but hey..

Got 3 runs in. Temps were around 66 to 70 ambient for most of the night. Got to the entrance and sat in line for an hour. Went through tech and was the second race to run for the night. Place was packed. Around 8:30 the lines and people were so bad I was done.

First things first, the suspension mods I have done (FP Magnaride handling pack, cradle lockouts, and vertical links), have really firmed up the car. I love the way it drives and launches. My first run tonight the car launched so hard I hit my helmet against the seat because I wasn't expecting it. I have 20" NT555RII's and ran them at 26 PSI.

Anyway. No hint of the 123 bug. All runs were in Drag mode with TC off and were an hour apart. Funny note, the Roush tune seems to neuter drag mode shifts but now the shift into 7th actually has a "pull" feeling to it like shifts into 2nd and 3rd did on my stock car. Did not pay attention to the shift points..

First run I did a decent burnout and can't remember if I had the shifter in D or S. I know it was in S for my burnout but I don't remember if I shifted back to D. Revved to 1500 and let of the brakes. Floored it a split second later and the car took off hard.

Second run I did a shitty burnout because I fumbled with Line Lock and was taking too long. Thought I pissed the car off because the tranny shifted funny during rollout so I left the shifter in S just to see what it would do. Car didn't feel totally smooth the run because I didn't launch that well.

Third run I had another good launch and ran my best time. Didn't smack my helmet on the seat either! This run was against a ZL1.. Not sure what he did wrong but he ran a 13.0 @ 120.68. I had my fastest 60' and also 0-60 and 60-130's ever this run. DA was probably around around 1300 for this run.

I know I won't run this way in the summer here but I was pretty happy...

On the way home though..... I had an older S550 mustang come flying up behind me to get my attention. When he blew by me you could hear hissing but I'm not sure if it was turbo'd or a Procharger. We went a few times with traffic in front of us and I would pull on him from the get go so I thought I was going to lead. Nope... He kicked my ass when his boost kicked in and flew past me. We went from equal speeds and I would get the jump but once he spooled I was done. If I was running a 10.9 tonight, he was easily in the 9's.

Congrats bro on finally getting that 10.9!!!

Congrats, 420! Glad the new cal is working. That 1.70 60 really made a difference. That is much better than I have ever done with the Nittos. Very glad to see your success!

Another thing that impresses me is that your runs were not in mineshaft air or ridiculous negative DA that most of us never see.

Congrats man!!! That's awesome.
You're in the "10 sec" club!

FWIW, I don't think A LOT of the cars run as fast as manufacturers say they do. Look at the Hellcat cars and the Demon for example. They are all running in PERFECT atmosphere, PERFECT track prep and PERFECT running car/driver mod.
(Not crapping on the Hellcats or Demon cars. I actually would LOVE to order a Hellcat Widebody Charger for my daily driver some day.)

Haven't been on here in awhile but see some cars have been to the track. Congrats to those with some great numbers. Made it to the track recently myself. A reminder this is a PP1 Car with Magne-Ride Suspension and the only other thing I've done is add the Ford Performance Knuckle To Toe Link Bearings which were on the car last year. Car is still running on the Toyo Proxes I made the 10.70 pass with last March. VMP 100 Octane Tune. Ford Active Exhaust with Cats. Gas was VP C10. Killer Chiller.Temp was 60. DA was +209. Don't believe there is anything else left on the table. As it is I'm happy.

Thanks! Checked my logs from last night. Sitting in the staging lanes my IAT2 was around 140 degrees when I would start it. After my burnout it was around 127 and at the end of the track it was cresting 145. Car didn't close the TB at all but boost dropped from 12 to 11 PSI.

I know it won't run like this in the summer but I'm pretty sure I know how to launch the car now. Rev to 1500-1800 RPM and let off the brake. Roll a fraction of an inch and *then* floor it. I usually rev to that and immediately floor it at the same time. I know some of this might be the suspension mods but damn. That 1.7' 60' felt good.

Congrats man!!! That's awesome.

Thanks! I definitely notice that too. Knowing how to drive the car and having some experience is definitely helpful too. ZL1's last night were struggling to get into the 11's. Hellcats were about the same. There was a guy with a 2021 Corvette there and his license plate was "0 60 2.9" and he couldn't get in the 11's. Granted, a lot of these people are on street tires too. My best 60' was 2.0 on street tires, but going WOT would kill the 1-2, 2-3 shifts (even when stock).. Until last night my 60's on 20" DR's were 1.8 to 2.0.. It's taken me 2 years and two cars to get here!

This and a porting job for the blower sound interesting. I think my next mod is going to be headers though. After that I may go with a Killer Chiller if I can ever get Kincaid to answer my questions and find a place in AZ that I would trust enough to install it. I do NOT want to have issues with the AC in the middle of summer here. Either that or need to buy a new DD for the summer.
