Sport to Drive and Back to Sport? Sounds complicated. Have you tried just holding the shift+ button on the 2-3 shift to take it back to Auto? Launching in 2nd gear just sounds iffy to me. I wonder how long the tranny will hold. Plus, you have to have your finger on the top button to take it from Drive to Sport.. Would only take a slight miscalculation to push the button down on the shift to D to go one step further.. Or two.

Do you have a 300a with drive modes?

I normally leave the car in Drive and use Drag Mode at the strip. On the street I roll around in Drive and use Sport+. Are there differences between Drag mode in Drive or Sport? (Never experimented that much but I may have to)
I typically try to hold the paddle to enter auto again like you mentioned.

And no, I believe I have a 400A. I'll have to ask my tuner if the sport vs drive really affects anything

What's everyones preferred mode for the track? And I read a lot of people like Launching in 2nd on the a10, do you just start in 2nd, and then slap it back to drive and back into sport to put it back in auto quickly?
I dont think a 2nd gear launch is no way necessary unless you are on a slippery street ,foot brake to 2k and stomp it at the track if prepped will be no problem . Ive done some 2nd gear launchs on the street still spun but went to s on the shifter upshift with paddle to 2nd and after u floor it slap the shifter back to drive if not done quickly u will hit the rev limiter and fall on your face ask me how i know.
I think second gear is for some 800hp+ cars where traction really becomes a problem at the track

I had my Phase 2 Roush kit installed in mid-October. So far the CHTs and IATs have been great. Obviously it has cooled down a good bit as well. My car is an M6. My question is, have you guys noticed that the tune seems to be temperamental? What I specifically mean by this is it sometimes feels weak under half throttle or less and seems to surge occasionally without any additional throttle input. The feeling is like the ignition timing is dialed way back and then advances. Didn't necessarily want to instantly void a warranty but do any of you have input on the aftermarket tunes available?

I have found the tune to be exceptionally smooth and consistent. Roush does have a new calibration that will be released soon. Before you go custom, I suggest you give that a try and see if it corrects your issue. If not, I would contact Roush, explain the problem and get their advice. They would likely have to take it to a Roush dealer where they could diagnose it.
