Either PBD or VMP will get it done. Lund is pretty dumb not tuning Roush 2650’s regardless of heat issues since there is a huge market out there running them. Besides the early kits had the major issues with cooling and the newer ones are much improved.

What changed on the newer kits?

Yes on both Phase 1 & 2. Lots of videos out there about the drastic improvements. Brenspeed did 4 consecutive pulls and said IAT2’s stayed low and had a better power curve than the Whipple on the Whipple tune.

It has been a little while since i was on here, traveled to Navarre FL to help parents after hurricane. Took Mustang on road trip lol besides helping had to let my dad feel what it felt like to be in a real car not his Charger scat pack
I have a few questions after 2K miles of hard driving 1 quart of oil seems to be normal to me, just wanted to get others views
also on a cold startup not always but a few times it will sit at idle and surge up and down about 700 rpm
nice to be back and catching up on forum

My car idles perfectly whether cold or hot. Do you have the latest calibration? I wouldn't be concerned about using a quart of oil in 2000 miles. Mine lowers some but seems to stay just above the bottom hole on the stick.

If the cal was flashed on 8/5, it is the latest. There is a new one being developed and is supposed to be released in mid October. Not sure why you would have a surge at idle. I don't recall anyone else having that. When cold, mine idles around 1200 rpm and is rock steady. Drops to around 700 after a minute or so where it is also steady.

So one of the biggest things ive noticed with the pbd tune is the the knocker values are much higher moderate throttle getting on the on ramp -10 degree never seen more that -4 to -5 with roush and using same gas only shell highest rpm noticed on a datalog with roush was 7200 and pbd 7495 but shifts and rpms stay up there felt good so far waiting to hear back after these datalogs are reviewed to see if its all good to go.

I just checked oil again after buying a quart lol it is so clean it was hard to tell so i put my cheaters on and it is dead between the 2 holes so it didn't use a quart

pbd is running pushing less timing than roush and letting the knock sensors do more work

Sounds like a Whipple killer...
