2019 GT Premium PP1. I was planning on switching to E85 this winter with FI return fuel system 1050 injectors. Question. If nessasary, can I switch tune to run 93 pump with this setup, no changes?
Thanks for the help.

Yes should be able to switch the to the 93 tune and run 93 with no hardware changes, and its a good idea to do this if you store your car for extended time because e85 can gel up and mess up injectors if it dries up in them.

That was definitely why I asked. My car sits from Nov-Apr. What return style kit seems to work well with little to no issues. What pumps are people running without issues. I only ask, for things change as time goes by and I wanted current feedback to help with my decisions. Thanks. Take care

Actually you may need to change the pulley out if you are running high boost on e85. Above about 11 psi you will have to put a bigger pulley on if you switch to 93 and want to drive hard. What Forced induction system do you have?

Yes run the 93 tune before you put the car up for the winter. It’ll purge all the lines, ejectors etc.. As mentioned you can only run 93 up to a certain pulley size.

Due to only having 1000 miles on car, But; (WOT Miles) I am ready to go FI this winter with associated Required Mods/upgrades. I am now setting up a Pre-Mod Dyno at Graham Rahal Performance here in Indianapolis for Next Month to get a baseline. What system are you running?

Don't have to change the pulley, just drive it in a manner to keep the boost low if it is just to purge and store. Like you said get a 93 tune and that is all that you need. I have a 93 tune for potential road trips, haven't gone on any yet. Plan is either pulley up, or just keep the rpm low to get to the e85 station.

Question. Which Race Gas would be an equivalent to running E85 ?
I don't think there is one. Octane rating is close to 105 range, but it is alcohol so it takes about 20% more fuel for the same power; then there is the cooling effect of alcohol versus gas.

I will just with E85, 93 tunes. Thanks

You can command the same spark advance with 100-102 Motor octane race fuel as E75-E85.

You can run either fuel type on a return style system so long as your tuner is aware and you have tunes for both fuel types, you have E85 compatible pumps and aren't pushing the car above it's limit boost wise with the 1050's on E85.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
