Well title is a little misleading as I don't currently have the parts installed but, my car is getting the power pack 3 installed in a week and then I'm looking at doing long tube headers soon after. After that I'll be looking at getting a tune for 93 octane. My worry is, will I need to upgrade the injectors or fuel pump to handle the increased airflow mods or will I be okay with the stock setup on 93 octane?

I think the general consensus is that with the GT350 IM/TB, custom tune, and headers you will be better off with 47s. I have already have the GT350 stuff on my car and the stock infectors are holding up just fine. But I also have LTs waiting to be installed this weekend and when I put them on I'll be upgrading to 47s just to be a bit on the safer side.

Your fuel pump will be definitely fine.

If you ran E85, I would say "yes" and go to a bigger injector with that manifold. You should be fine with the stock injectors though running 93.

Alright I think I may stick with the stock injector and only upgrade if need be. Is it safe to run the long tubes and full exhaust "untuned" while I figure out what I want to do for tuning or should I only have them installed when I'm ready to flash a tune on? I've been thinking of doing an email tune... this would be a first for me though. Any recommendations? Anybody with experience please comment and let me know the procedure!

You won't hurt anything running headers without a tune. You may get a cel though pertaining to cat deficiences. A tune would turn the 2nd set of o2 sensors off so you wouldn't see this cel. Can't go wrong with a Lund tune

Ah no kidding? I had just assumed a tune with the long tubes was required. As far as Lund, I've seen in the past that he won't tune with the GT350 throttle body, is that true?

Edit: the set of long tubes I'm looking at has cats and bungs for both up and downstream o2's so I'm not worried much about that

Why buy power pack 3 just to have it retuned? waste of money imo... Buy the intakes alone seperately.

Lund had no problem tuning for my GT350 TB.

Exactly what I was thinking lol.. Why waste all that money just to get it tuned again after? Buy the parts separately without the tune. No point of wasting all that money

Between ebay, craiglist, and this forum, I spent $1450 (all brand new) for this setup:
  • GT350 MANIFOLD $950
  • GT350 TB $100
  • GT350 INTAKE $150
  • LU47 INJECTORS $150
  • TUNE MODIFICATION FROM LUND $100
I run E85 so that is why I bought the injectors.

Yeah I was a bit wasteful. The power pack 3 is something I already had and I just recently got the idea, or rather the motivation to go with the headers and a separate tune. Just ordered my set actually, Kooks made to work with stock midpipe and a tune from Lund at LMR. Looking forward to getting it all on and working together

Edit: yeah Bob I don't have E85 readily available so I'm okay with the 93. Hoping the stock injectors do indeed hold up

I caved and bought the Ford Racing 47 lb injectors. Worth the piece of mind I suppose. Is this the brand everybody else seems to be using?
