I am getting ready to put Bolt (shelby) away for the winter. Getting an oil change and moving some stuff around in the garage. I want to pull the wheels and tires off and keep the cup 2's warm in the basement. At 2K a set I want to do all I can to keep them in good shape over the long Wisconsin winter.

My question is..what is the process to lift the car up on all 4 jack stands. Steeda jacking rails are to be installed at the oil change. Do I use the jacking rail to lift up one side and then place the jack stands under that side. Let the car down on them. Got to the other side and repeat. My worry is that when you go to the other side and lift the car could shift on stands and fall. Seems crazy just checking before I attempt.

Here are my stands I bought.

Donā€™t know Iā€™d go that high though. It doesnā€™t take much to get your wheels off the ground.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Yes, that's how you do it with the Steeda jacking rails. It's not going to fall over.

With jacking rails you can jack up one side. Put your two jack stands under. Let the car down. Then repeat for the other side.

Keep the tires away from the furnace and anything else with an electric motor. Should also seal them in plastic or a tire cover.

Bad for suspension bushings and shocks to leave hanging forever IMO. I would try to support my suspension personally.

It also stretches the brake lines a good bit

Ok let me ask you this.. more damage to the tires to leave them on the car over the winter or more damage to the suspension by putting the car up.

I'm not technical enough to answer that one for ya' :)

From experience, I haven't seen a modern tire flat spot, though. I don't think you need to worry about that. But if you want to be extra careful, could also get something like these:
