Don’t freak out. Little known fact is that the GT350 emblems face different directions on both sides. It’s normal
I wasn't, I just wanted to see how close the R was to the vent.

What was your weapon of choice to perform the cutting?

@50 Deep Sorry to bring this old thread up, how does the vent fair to washing/rain? Is there a track on the underside of the vent to deter water at a stand still? Thanks

No, its a racecar part. you can fab your own drip rails but if you're that worries about it don install it.

This was my first question too - even the car wash pic OP posted gave me palpitations lol

It has held up great. I wash my car a couple times a month and drive it in the rain.. Never had any issues. Your motor is a sealed unit with weather pack connectors. It should physically run completely submerged in water as long as the intake is sucking in air. Cut that bish and GO!

The first cut is the hardest. Been sitting on this Carters Customs GT4 style hood vent for a while. Lots of stress and worry before and during this process. Now that it’s done I can breathe.

Appreciate all the folks that reached out with pics and words of encouragement like Adam Forestwood, Wes Heath, and Adam Carter. Even more appreciative of my bro Robert Gluckman that was a dick, but motivated me to get it done.

Also got the new Signature Wheel Royal Series SV801 on. 20x11 / 20x11.5 came in at 23/24 lbs.

Car has metal flakes everywhere. I rattle canned the vent black until
I figure out how I want to powder coat it. First wash with the pressure washer left minimal water under the hood. One of the guys on The Gram is a genius and just lays a towel under the hood vent when he washes. Freaking genius idea.
