Fenders - I only did a small area where it comes to a point at the front. Thanks for the info about the 3M product and comparison. I have never heard of the first one before! How far up the hood/fenders did you cover? Was one roll enough?
Front fascia - I did most of it, cutting strips where it narrowed down to an inch or so.
One roll enough? Depends on the size of the roll you get as there are a few different ones. I'll put it this way, you can never have too much. I used up the entire roll I had and wished I had ordered another one.
I think he was impressed at how well it did for how fat it is. Not going to lie - on a tight track, the GT500 is at its worst. Car weighed 4,166lbs with gas but no driver (weighed at the scale at Roebling). The ZL1 1LE that was there came in at 3,830. So with George in the passenger seat I was about 500lbs more than the 1LE while out on the track and it sure felt like it - except on the straights. How did George like the 500, and was it as fun on the straight as the McClaren was?
No comparison to the Mclaren. That car was an utter beast and felt like a knife slicing through the air whereas the GT500 felt (at times) like a fat woman trying to pole vault through a sea of butter.
