Pro's vs Con's to running different Front/Rear Tires

I was looking into some different tires and had a vendor recommend running Nitto NT555's on the front and NT05's in the rear. I've never done anything like that on a vehicle and was wondering what other people were running. This is my first RWD car in forever so it's kind of new to me. His reasoning was that there was no need for the NT05's on all 4 corners and that the 555's would provide better steering response and wear better in the front.
