One of the most over looked items on the engine is the crank case pressure. With more boost and compression comes pressure. Adding to it is all the moisture from running e85. So a local fabricator made my cardboard come to life and we created a catch can/coolant tank.

After some minor changes like removing all the under hood gauges and swapping to gt500 valve covers, the engine was complete and break in was complete. After 500 miles on 93 fuel and multiple oil changes. It was time to run it.

I did have to swap to a corsa double x pipe because i kept blowing apart the seems on the magna flow x pipe.

Now to how it currently sits, the mt82 is hating life and the end of the season is here. I made the decisions to go TH400 and make the car into more straight line capable vs a all around street car.

I will forever keep the forgestars but i had to pick up a proper drag pack.

Keep in mind this thread has been my progression from 2018. A lot has happened in between and changes have been made. Not everything has been documented but that's the point. This will be the continued journey.

Lets see if we can't achieve low 9's and possibly 8's!

I ended up waiting to dig into the th400 swap because i wanted to do my baby gender reveal with my car.

Here's the video of that.

Of course the first drive after doing the burn out, I decided to take the car out for a cruise and gave it the beans going 2nd - 3rd and 3rd decided to leave the building. This was all on friday night 10/15. I had the trans out along with all of the clutch and driveline. So all that stuff will be up for sale shortly. I've decided to use this forum to sell vs facbok.

Update, transmission has been removed and items listed for sale. Pilot bearing was removed and JW flexplate Installed with ARP hardware. Hopefully tonight i will be able to get the trans tunnel modified and shifter installed along with test fitting the transmission for the first time.

Really looking forward to releasing the trans button!

Next update; Hurst quarter stick was installed thursday night 10/21. This was a good bit of a pain due to so much trimming required to make it fit properly with the cable. Not happy about the button on the handle but i will make it work for now.

Got the transmission test fit and installed Friday night. Note; SFI bell housing required x7 allen heads m10 bolts and two hex flange bolts for the top. All are shorter than factory bell bolts. The cross member hardware was reused and trans mount installed. I pre installed a push lock fitting onto the top of the vent and AN adapters for the cooler lines. Driveshaft hardware yoke to pinion flange is m10x35mm and require 6. What's left is to install the cooler and plumb, connect/adjust the shift linkage, install machined shims for converter (already measured spacing), install dip stick, wire trans brake, cooler fan, and reverse lights. Should be able to test drive before the cold weather really hits.
