Got a Stage II P1x installed and running. I'll post some observations as a first time FI install from my perspective in the next few days.

Using PBD for the tuning, they have been great so far and they were able to unlock my Ngauge that was supplied with my Stage II kit.

Still have the datalogging to go with PBD and hope to get this completed in the next 2 weeks or less. Not a lot of free time due work.

You're gonna love it! I've had the same setup on my 2018 A10 for about 2 years and love it. Stock 4.75" blower pulley and 93 octane?

Chris,

Yes sir, 4.75 pulley and 93 octane.

Since I have to datalog first before WOT, at what rpm do you notice where it starts to pull? Just curious.

80foxcoupe,

I haven't even completed the datalog/tuning process yet.

So I don't know why I would pulley down at this point. To early at this time to say.

I meant future plan. 4.75 is barely spinning a p1x. What engine rpm are you comfortable with? Will e85 be available?

MT-82 or A10? If 10 speed, the blower is always up in the rev's and power is practically instant. But yes, if you manually hold in a single gear about 3,500 is where boost starts to come in. You should see right at 8.5-9 psi with the 4.75" blower pulley.

Yeah, I'm on a 4.88 pulley with my D1x, its the pulley the kit came with. I’m barely spinning mine at 750 whp. I have a 4.5 pulley waiting in the wings but no e-85 near by. gonna talk to my tuner about meth injection in the spring...

No E85 anywhere in my region. Plan on keeping the factory shift points on rpm. Once I get it data-logged and dialed in and spend some time with it, then I'll decide what to do.

My 2018 is an A10. I appreciate the input from everyone.

For anyone thinking of going with a Stage II, based on my personal experience here are a few observations:

1) Allow 2 full days or a full weekend for installation
2) Better than average assortment of tools needed
3) Procharger instructions could be better, make that a lot better
4) I suggest getting the tuner version and going for a remote tune
5) Helical gear set is very quiet on my car at idle, very little additional noise
6) Get heavy duty "T" clamps, the worm band clamps included are marginal

Have not had time to begin datalogging with PBD due to work constraints, but hope to get this ironed out in the next week or 2.

Hi. How does you Pro charger drive on the road? Does it feel sluggish going full throttle below 3000 rpm? Have you dyno it?
Thank you for your help.

Agreed on the clamps. the outlet tube connecting to the P1X needs improving too. mounting the race red valve is tons of fun as well

Standard gear set on mine and its got a good whistle

For reference, i used Lund, its a good tune and runs well, no dyno yet but in the "tuning" phase Lund didnt like the maf numbers because it was in the intercooler and said its too turbulent. I had to fab a block off for the intercooler and weld a maf mount into the straight section before the TB.

Curious how your PBD e-tune goes.

Enjoy the car!
