P1X for the past 3 years and about 17K miles. Running about 8lbs of boost with an A10 and 3.55 rear.

Mine has been trouble-free and uber reliable. Car is a beast on the street with a Wengerd tune and 93 octane.

Have had exactly 22 street roll on runs against virtually everything, Audi V10, Carrera 4S, Hellcats, Z06's, Turbo Dodges, BMW's, yada, yada. No one has outrun my GT, yet.

Beat them all.

Love my Procharger. The broke crank stuff can happen with a turbo, so relax and don't buy into all the negative hype.
This right here. Stage 2 P1X on a 93 octane Lund tune with longtube headers, 3.55 gear A10 on an 8lbs pulley since 2020. Never had any crankshaft problems, though I did blow a piston ring with all that power. 😅

Debating between P1X and ESS G3. How many of you with lower boost and don’t rag your cars have had no crank snout failures? Looking to make a purchase soon and want to buy one of these….jusr depends on which I can get for a better price. Is the snout issue overhyped?
I've had both. P1X on a Gen2, ESS G3X on this MACH1.

Pullied each of them for around 12PSI at my elevation (which works out to around 14ish at Sea level)

I had the H.O. kit on the Procharged car with a 3.25" pulley and was using the same 6 rib belt as the engine accessories, as does this ESS kit.

The Pro Charger kit also has a second mechanical belt tensioner, in addition to the OEM spring tensioner.

For both setups, I installed a Griptech pulley. Not only does it prevent belt slip, but more importantly, it provides additional traction so that you don't have to crank down on the belt tension so much. This is better for the crankshaft, as well as the accessories and idlers.

I put around 40k miles on the Procharged car that way, never had a crank problem.

On this Mach1, also installed the FFRE crank stud, just for a little extra support.

only crank snout failures are from improperly installed balancers / bolts IMO, we haven't had 1 failure on any centri car we have installed on locally for 15 years.... and we do 1-3 a week

BTW, I purchased by Procharger from Beefcake.

His service was exemplary. Highly recommended, a trusted vendor.

He hand delivered parts to me the other day in a Procharged C8 vette. Badass car.

After having kits how would you compare the two? Quality and Performance, ect?

From a performance perspective, I would say the P1X and ESS G3X are very similar. I had the P1X on a gen2, so obviously I'm making more power with the same level of boost on this gen3 motor.

Im happy with the quality of both, really. The Procharger probably seems a little more robust in construction, but honestly, I think the ESS fitment is slightly better. The Procharger blower outlet tube had a very tight bend, that would kink right before it goes to the intercooler. Neither of these cars were race cars, and Procharger makes better stuff if you're going full on race car, but for my use case, street car, weekend toy - either fit the bill.

ESS has been making supercharger kits for the Euro market for a long time, and have a good reputation in that space.

I ended up making my own outlet solution on the Procharger setup, that fit much better.

No. What I think I mean is you can order a stage 2 carb legal kit. They have it for 18+ also

send an actual link. And what’s the difference between an HO and an HO stage 2?

Send a link that shows the difference between both. I don’t need to google it. I don’t really care about carb kits. I’m thinking it’s the same kit with a stage 2 intercooler installed on the passenger side using the stock crank pulley. So calm down.

According to procharger stage 2 makes more boost and is equal to the non carb kit. If it has a stock balancer then it can still run a overdrive balancer for even more boost

So as stated the HO carb kit and HO carb kit stage 2 is basically same kit, maybe slightly higher rpm, or slight pulley change and stage 2 intercooler. Both use the oem air box, sit in the passenger side and use the stock 6rib crank
