Installed a set of Mak Cat Delete Pipes and drove straight to the dyno. People are always asking about how much power they make when considering these as an alternative to longtubes.

Before:

After:

The only power modifications between those dyno runs were the addition of the Mak Cat Delete Pipes, however it should be noted that Lund had sent me a tune revision between the runs as well. It was supposedly only a "drivability update".

I'm just happy to join the 600rwhp club ;)

Wow nice results. I've always wondered how much I gained from my catless headers I didn't think it was that much of a gain though. Are you on the 3.85 pulley?

Don't worry about what a dyno tells you. Worry about the difference between the two runs.

Good to know cat delete pipes have some effect; and when emissions nazi's come along I can just "re-cat" the car without bloody (literally) surgery.

...if I had a superchager - hah.

I did the same but used v-bands in the rear on both the MAK and the stock CAT setup. Also on the driver's side CAT setup I put on a flange. Easy bolt on and bolt off in 30 minutes.

I had 604 before the cat deletes ..Never did toss it back on the dyno after I installed them .. But I don't think I got much out of them .. It didn't pick up ET or MPH much at the track ..

Gonna be honest with you, I have no idea. Still on the factory supplied pulley from Procharger.

No, it was a basic dynojet chassis.

As for the "before" numbers; 554rwhp seems about right if you consider that Procharger claims 45-50% increase in power with JUST the addition of their kit. I was at 368rhwp bone stock (off the top of my head) and gained 186rwhp. That's about a 51% increase.

But a 20rwtq gain? That's far from any increase...just seemed odd to see 410-420rwtq boosted 5.0
