We all have different views. It would be a pretty boring world if we didn't. The main thing is to express our opinions in a respectful way and not put each other down, or tell other owners what to do with their cars (instant trigger for most of us). We're all here because we love these GT350's and there is way too much fighting going on in here.

This is a thread where we discuss the current market for the GT350Rs. The HEPR is going to continue to be a major topic of discussion. Do you guys think that the Ford GT owners fight with each other of how much the Heritage Edition makes over the standard GT?

As a 2020 GT350R owner, I'm extremely happy to see the HEPRs approaching 200k. Hell I hope they double that in 10 years. My opinion on if the HEPRs are actually worth that kind of money is irrelevant. The market is what it is. As HEPR's and 2015 R's continue to reset the market, the rest of us get to trail slowly behind. No, I have no plan on selling mine anytime soon. But in 10 years? Who knows how I will feel, and it's good to know I have a car that is in demand, and that one day I could have the option to sell for a hell of a lot more than I bought it for. Who wouldn't want that?

We should all be supporting one another. No matter what year and spec is selling at auction, I'm going to be rooting for it to make as much money as possible. Then we get to come back on here and talk about it. These auctions should be fun. This thread should be fun, and educational for people looking to buy or sell one of these cars. If your not interested in all of that, then why are you posting in this thread? If I was someone looking to buy one of these cars and looked in this thread, it would just look like a bunch of toxic owners who all hate each other. Not good.
I agree, and very well said. I think the best way moving forward is everyone hit the reset button and move on. Maybe that's an idealistic notion, but it's worth a try.

I too, wish to see these values climb. I am happy for the ones who have realized a very rare opportunity.

I don't hate.....everyone ;) Note my sig - that's directed to the few on my ignore list. Predictably, most people on my ignore list have left, as they were just here being ignorant. One still hangs out though. I do get great pleasure knowing that he still posts about me and I will never see it.

Anyway, happy to move on - I just want to say that my opinion might have changed a little over time and about the HEPR, it's just a personal thing. The worse thing I can say about it is that I would have hoped for some other things in the package to reallllly set it off. Apparently it doesn't need anything else to be a huge appreciation machine - that's just my opinion.

where am i?

oh yeah.

2019 R or 2020 HEP (non r). just say about the same miles below 10k and around about the same price. the R is clearly a better performing car, right? the HEP is a better garage queen, right?

I actually was in the same place- I found a non R HEP with 3K miles and 19 R with 8K miles for close to the same money (The HEP was 3K more) I really wanted Recaros and this HEP didnt have them - and my wife really wanted blue with white stripes- so those were the two factors that swayed me- Id say either car is the correct decision : )

So I’d like to try and swing this back to topic. I’m not sure if any of you heard about this new Auction site, but they have a Carbon GT500 on there. The question is, what do you think the price will get to for a car on a site that no one knows about?

I think it could go cheap…

CHEAP??? Depends on your opinion of cheap.
That will easily go for $100-120.
You can’t get these cars and that one is practically brand new.

Owner should wait a couple years and it will go for another 20-?? Higher if no miles are put on it.

I may even watch it and buy it if it does go cheap.

Yeah seems like a bad idea putting your car up for sale on a brand new auction site. With the success of BaT and now Carsandbids I'm sure were going to see a lot of new sites pop up. Looks like they are using carsandbids buyer fee of 4.5 percent.

Great for potential buyers though. My guess is it goes for under 100k.

I’m going to bid 10K on this and the Mclarens and see if no one notices! (I’m still dealing with storm repairs and crap insurance companies so don’t judge me!)

I’m sure the car will have a reserve. 110kish is probably about right for it in todays market. New 21 cftp with painted stripes can be had for 120-125k currently at a few dealers.

Thats the thing- I LOVE white with blue stripes- but that car in all white with no stripes- just not feeling it as much - dont get me wrong...beautiful car - but needs black roof or stripes or something in my opinion

Interestingly, I did see 2 GT500CFTPs go for $118k and $132.5k, so it appears the market for the modern carbon Shelbys is good.

I ordered my GT500 exactly like that except with a black roof. I'm so offended - this must be what it feels like to be a HEPR owner ;) :) I kid!
