Only the 137 cars from the 50th Anniversary 2015 GT350/R model year had the chassis number and VIN match each other whereas the following 5 model years (2016 - 2020) everything was random with respect to the chassis number and VIN's.Interesting that the Chassis number is the same as the last 4 numbers of the VIN.
I wonder if all of the 15's did that?
When ordering car #77 I waited until the very last day before the 2015 order banks closed in Dearborn which was Friday, June 5th and although I had a good idea that the Shadow Black and DIB OTT stripes might be a 1 of 1 color combination, I had no idea what chassis number/build order that my car would be assigned at the FRAP therefore I thought that I lucked out with a very cool chassis number.
Of the numerous GT350/R's that I have been very fortunate to own this is the only car that I did not put any miles on and sold it at auction just over a year ago and if I recall correctly it hammered for $85,800 therefore it will be very interesting to see what this car brings a year later?
