but why are people paying more now, why not wait for prices to come down?
do people really have that much $$$ to blow at the moment? I mean, no one is making them go out and pay more for used cars, at same or more than originally sold for.

Understand your point but who knows if and when the prices of our GT350/R's will come down and if so how long will that be from now?

As long as the stock market is up and people are making stupid amounts of money in the crypto market, I don't see this end. Currently looking for a new house in a once (2-3 years ago) very reasonable market. Prices have spiraled out of control.

Historically low interest rates and the willingness of lendors to extend the length of the loan, possibly?

Or people think that it's unlikely someone - anyone really - will be making a better car than the GT350 at this price point. They missed the time when prices were lower and now they want to buy before prices get too high.

Also, some of the GT350s still have warranties on them. I assume that could be a factor.

I get bored but I'm reluctant to let this, my second R go 2020 Iconic, no stripes).... That said, if someone wants to pay exactly what I have in it, PPF, taxes and all... I'd consider it!... and as long as you have people like me, these will never be 100k cars lol. :)

No disrespect, but youā€™re only owner. One car wonā€™t change the market.

None taken - like I said - ā€œas long as there are people like meā€...and there likely are.

Where? Iā€™m game! Oh you mean highly marketed cars at busy auctions? Never mind.
Does it really matter whether of our cars sell at auction or via private sales amongst fellow enthusiasts such as you and I the bottom line is what they eventually sell for.

This is the current state of KBB.com for 2020 GT350R cars. They canā€™t even value the market. However, I was able to locate your car on the west side of the market.

Exactly. Along with everyone else.

Yes, it does - it 100% MATTERS. That's exactly my point.

I love the cars as much as anyone and I am hopeful they do well in the market over time - just saying that a few people seem to be getting overly-excited/optimistic based on a coupe odd balls that sell at very specific venues. If a normal seller lists one of these cars on autotrader or ebay and it just SITS, then ???

Wait wait wait... I had to read this again.

One car won't change the market..... SO TRUE. It's why I'm saying that some people focusing on 1-2 cars that sell at a very specific auction in order to establish value is......well you said it, one car doesn't change anything, right?

When I read this, my mind quickly went to the movie ā€˜Dumb and Dumberā€™... ā€œSo youā€™re telling me, thereā€™s still a chance!ā€
