It's all fake. None of it is actual leather. It's all "synthetic leather".

Not even a patch of natural leather inside Mustang?
I'm deeply disappointed.

Also not on a steering wheel?

It’s genuine elephant foreskin.

Not even the wheel is genuine leather? Dang, my life is a lie, and now I'm glad I didn't pay for leather seats.

IF it was genuine leather, there's the moisturizer and a sealant you can get to protect the leather. I have two leather jackets and you can definitely tell which one has the sealant and not. One looks its age, and the other brand new. The irony being that the brand new looking jacket is my every day, take to work coat. It really makes a difference. But now I know not to waste my time using this on anything inside the car.

Nope.

Industry terms like "Genuine" leather mean they're synthetics. If you cut a little piece out anywhere, you'll see there's a webbing in there, a backing layer, etc. Cows aren't made that way.:cwl:

Gotta buy an really old car to get actual cow-skins. Or pay some company big $$ to install actual leather.

If your cars had actual leather made from cow-skins, there would be moles, wrinkles, color variation, barbed-wire fence wound scars, tick-bite scars, etc. I think Aston Marin uses actual leather, and part of their process is to lay the cow-skin out on a flat table, find those scars and such, circle them with chalk, and cut the pattern to avoid them. It's very expensive, not just the material, but the waste from avoiding the natural blemishes in the hides.

Dave Munson, founder of Saddleback Leather, explains different kinds of leather. In my opinion, he makes the best leather products that exist.
