Finally it broke. I had a bagel!
See I had a bagel but gave it to my son because he changed his mind about the cereal... Maybe this is the break we need!

Mine is already done. I got it back last Thursday.

With regards to these cars, I honestly feel like they need to be driven. Especially folks with the Gen 1 motors. If there is an issue it's hard to tell if the car sits for most of the time and only sees a short amount of street use.

There have been folks have an engine blow with street use and track use. Correct me if I'm wrong but there may be more street use issues then track issues.

I probably had one of the higher mileage R's in the country at 19.2k miles on the gen 1 motor.

My car is an 18 so I'm happy to have gotten the gen 2 motor.
Yea, my car having a gen 2 motor is a definite plus. To some, they want all original parts and it's seen as a negative. 🤷‍♂️

so far I haven’t seen prices dip due to a Gen 2 motor replacement but I may be wrong.

idk how many of us on here have a low chassis number from 15/16 to be worried about vin numbers matching on engines.

I do know for myself when I look for a second gt350 down the line I will be looking for one with a Gen 2 motor if the year is 18 and below.

I'm just starting to shop with only a '17 in the budget. I'm seriously starting to second guess based on approaching the 5 year drivetrain warranty limit.

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.

Look for one with a transferable extended warranty. Lots of people bought those at the time of purchase, including me. Shouldn't be too hard to find one.
