I looked, but forum-fu failed me and couldnt find it but.. Is it possible to powder coat my chrome rims? I wanna go black. Thanks!

They will sand blast your wheels taking all the chrome finish off, and then powder coat. So yes should be fairly easy for any powder coater.

They will sand blast your wheels taking all the chrome finish off, and then powder coat. So yes should be fairly easy for any powder coater.

You might want to try to plastidip spray them first. I bet PC will be over $200 PER wheel.

Maybe - idk. I think i might just wait and buy some black rims for summer and keep these for winter.. although in tn its really not much of an issue.

Those seem just sprayed. Not chromed. Just have them sprayed black.

Re: Plasti Dip... Please don't do that! I don't think I've ever seen Plasti Dip that didn't look like đź’© :crackup:

Wheels take a lot of abuse, that dip job will look awful in no time.

I have the same wheels on my car. The "polished" aluminum is actually a clear coated aluminum.

There is a black version of this wheel that is sold on newer model years. You might be better off trying to find a set of those.

Is it just me or do those wheels look like polished aluminum and not chrome? Maybe the daylight?
