Looks killer man.
I haven't that in a very long time. My mom, whom is from Poland, used to make it all time.
Thanks. I grew up eating it all the time too.

We have a local Polish store near by. It went downhill during COVID, but was recently bought by couple woman and is much better now. Meats come from Chicago, other groceries from Poland...obviously.

So yesterday I bought a few jars of kiszona kapusta and a few pounds of various kielbasa.

Proper homemade burgers (bun dough, meat minced, etc.).
On the left with goat cheese, bacon and sautéed mushrooms and on the right with Irish cheddar, bacon, cucumber and onion.

Currently cooking Hakka-style braised pork belly noodle soup. We’ll see how it turns out. But it’s food drive season so I thought I’d put this out in the universe to other food nerds:

I originally thought rice and beans. You can for sure feed an army with those two things, but those ingredients are already cheap and WIC approved. So, this time I’m doing spices because they’re expensive AF and you need them to make shit delicious.

More to come, but Kroger had these buy 2 get 1 free. Seems like a good start.
