Message me if you’re ever in the neighborhood, I’ll keep a seat for ya. The answer to your wife’s question is, yes. The liquid for the gravy was a mix of the liquid from the porcinis, that beer, and some of the beef bone broth. I definitely drank a few too though

Not today, but last night I made a big pot of Green Pork, Zucchini and Corn stew. Right at home over a bowl of rice...I might add okra next time.

Is that corn in your chili? I’ve thought about that, I use masa to thicken and add flavor to mine.

That's funny bc I've thought about adding corn to it before.

I use a can of Great White Northern Beans and a can of Dark Kidneys, I think the white is what you're seeing. I also use a good bit of chopped garlic, it can look like corn also but I don't usually notice it except in my bowl--my bowl is pretty large diameter but fairly shallow. I like it bc my food will cool down quicker lol!

I need to get some masa...I make a green pork stew and a green pork chili that usually need thickening up. I just use some sifted flour or corn starch but masa would actually add flavor

Yours looks great! I messed up, I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes. I usually use one can diced and one can stewed but I didn't have any stewed. So mine came out a little tomato-ey. Wasn't bad but it's usually a lot better. I like some heat also but the wife won't eat it if I make it hot

Thanks! i agree on the tomatoes. I use half diced and half stewed. Many years of experience here!
